It’s an interesting question, isn’t it? I heard it the other day, and it caught my attention.  I’ve been pondering it ever since, taking note of how worthy it is of contemplation.

It isn’t usually one thing that tips scales, it’s a couple of things, done for years that tip the scales in favor of a health problem.  What if discovering, and then unlearning and eliminating, is as important as a medication, or treatment?

I know in my own healing, that is absolutely true.  When I’ve tried everything without success, gotten frustrated, then tried out of desperation shifting a pattern or “unlearning and eliminating”, the health issue finally begins to respond favorably.  Maybe not the first try, but eventually.

Our culture isn’t exactly set up for this to be common.  Our culture is set up for quick fixes and magic bullets. After chasing those myself for way too long, I now see that it rarely leads to healing.  It may mask the problem temporarily, but even the blindest among us can’t call that healing.

I love the healing journey, it grows me, challenges me, and chisels out my true self.  I want this for every human being, and I happen to believe, every human being wants this as well.

Where am I going with all this?  Sometimes it’s a recipe for different ingredients that shifts a health problem.  Just like any good dish, it’s rare to leave out a major ingredient of the recipe and expect the dish to turn out well (or at least the way you thought it would turn out).

Your health problem may need such a recipe.  A blend of ingredients, in the correct proportions, taken over time, that causes the shift.

There is a show on the Food Network called Chopped.  Several chefs are given the same ingredients and they have to concoct and prepare, and then serve the judges.  From scratch.

I bet if we could talk to these chefs, they would ALL say, they start with an idea, they begin chopping, they get another vision, they rely on their culinary skill, they keep chopping, another idea pops in, and they keep going until the dish is finished.  They trust the process, they don’t stop too soon, and they know that beginning with base ingredients will get them there.

You might be wondering what this has to do with your body and health?  Well, it’s like this (when done without the fantasy of a magic bullet)…a body becomes out of balance, exhibits a symptom, the symptom could have been long in the making just now showing its face, or it could be more recent.  You seek help and support, apply the support, await the body’s feedback, take the next step according to the feedback, add another ingredient if necessary, rinse and repeat until the dish is done.  Don’t stop before the dish is done (nobody bakes a cake for half the time necessary), but when you’re healthy again.

Did you know that your body will find health with the right ingredients?  It will.  Your body is that intelligent.

Problem is in our culture that most people have been brainwashed into thinking that you should be able to take, or do something to quickly make it (the symptom) go away.  Quickly.  Preferably with no side-effects (usually not the case).  Certainly with no additional attention paid to the issue, because life is too busy to pay attention to one more thing.

We let that chase go on for a while until it develops into a more serious health issue and then, many are truly surprised.  Yet the signs were there all along.  Unfortunately, we usually ignore the intelligent messages from our body.

I’ve gotten pretty good at playing with healthy recipes over the last 25 years.  When working with people, I sometimes feel, admittedly, that I’m rowing my boat upstream, against the tide of our culture and the desire for the quick fix.

I ask you to parcel out some of your time and attention to your own recipe. Testing the ingredients to find the right one for you. I’m happy to help you sleuth out the important ingredients.  That is my mission and devotion to each person’s well-being.

Each person has to come to the place where they are willing to place themselves on a path to wholeness, participate, play, trip, and fall, be guided, fail, succeed, and eventually claim their health.  Health must become a top priority.  Being healthy is the foundation for everything else in life. Being unhealthy and sick is a lot more expensive than the cost of getting healthy!

I am most honored to support this process with you.

You may consider Quantum Qi Healing as an ingredient in your recipe. It is a powerful way of weeding out old, unhealthy energy from your system.  It can support you physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  Though not “magic”, results are often noticed sooner rather than later.  AND…it’s a very powerful process to moderate the stress response in the body (which everyone is excellent at activating 🙂
